Schwag Grab: 5 Merino Buffs - We've got winners!
Grab yourself some useful neckwear for the cold snap
Buff Merino Schwag
Everyone really does love a Buff, especially a wooly one, and especially when it's freeeezing outside. We got an avalanche of entries, but when we fired up the road.cc randomiser and dug our way out from under 'em we'd got five lucky winners.
And the lucky winners are: Ridire, Jon Mack, Guy Collier, nobled and ponnymeister. Get in touch pronto at info@road.cc and we will get some wooly goodness in the post… first thing on Monday (well it's cold outside and we don't have any Wool Buffs of our own).
For the uninitiated the versatile Buff is a fabric loop that can be used as a scarf, headband, hat, helmet liner, smog mask... you name it, if it's a part of your head or neck the Buff will be able to cover it somehow. Traditionally Buff have made them from a seamless cotton mix but the new kid on the block is the Wool Buff, lovingly crafted from 100% Merino wool for natural stretchiness and anti-whiff properties.
We reviewed the Wool Buff last week and reviewer Leonie Jennings gave it a big thumbs up. And now you can get your hands on one gratis, because the nice people at Buff have sent us five to give away. And not only that, you'll get the instructional DVD, some Buff stickers and Buff temporary tattoos (?!) all in a nice Buff paper carrier. And we'll throw in some road.cc stickers for good measure. And some Quality Street, if there's any left in the office Christmas tin by Tiffin time on Friday. Update on the Quality Street… they've all gone, well what did you expect?
Timely competition as I've lost my balaclava...
Now all I need to do is pray to the bicycle god (no no no - not Boris Johnson - David Cameron) that I win.
Ohh, Buffs B) . The ultimate versatile all-year-round clothing accessory for any cyclist. Merino Buff? Even better!
Consider me entered for the competition

Nearly bought one, think I'll wait now!
Already on my Xmas list, so if Santa's been paying attention, I may end with 2!
Lovely. I've been waiting for these to come back into stock at our local. Black (or blue) (or red) (or grey) would be lovely
I went out on my bike early on Sunday morning in sub-zero temps, and forgot to put on a cap or buff. Aaargh. My brain only just about defrosted by tea time. It was a great excuse for cycling slowly, for anything much over 12 mph left my sinuses screaming.
This isn't Nam, Donny. This is bowling, there are rules.
Me, please! Black, or red if the black has gone.
Mmmm Merino wool.
Please stick my name in the hat ta.
I was just looking at these in the shops to stave off a warm winter, don't think I could afford the posh merino one though! May just have to look like darth vader with one of those scary face masks
Start Cycle Commuting. Write off your car!

Do I up my chances if I say I'm recovering from a collarbone op and haven't ridden a bike since November, with my next ride looking to be early spring next year?
Oh! How a (charcoal grey) merino buff would be comforting as I watch daytime reruns on Dave, and how later it could soothe my shoulder scar with its wooly goodness as I wobble out on my first post-op ride, like a new born lamb (see what I did there?)
My old faithful camo one has a hole in it as well. Not that I'm wearing it much at the moment...
