Team Sky, this spare bike was running low profile rims, note the aluminium body pedals which the team decided to run.	Team Sky, another shot of the classic Ambrosio rims used by many of the teams opting for comfort over aerodynamic advantage.	Team Sky were using the ever popular hand made tubulars from FMB. They are the choice for many of the teams for this event.	Team Saxo Bank were riding 53x44 gearing up front and of course, FMB tubulars.	Team Saxo Bank mechanics had taped their spare bike shifter to keep the dust out.
Team Europcar's Colnago cross frame ridden by all their riders.	Team Europcar were riding Colnago cross frames, allowing them extra tyre clearance for their huge 30mm tyres. Radio Shack rode their recently released new pavé specific Trek.	Rabobank's cross setup allowed them to run a 30mm FMB tubular which Boom was reputed to have 60psi in.	Rabobank had a couple of spare cyclocross frames for the pavé	Movistar rode a pretty stock setup, the did use the new Campagnolo electronic shifting. Note the changed Elite bottle cages to hold the bottles in on the pavé	More of a show piece than a spare bike this Cannondale cross bike with discs was getting a lot of attention from the press and would have gotten more from the commisaires if ridden by a team rider.
Lotto were taping their SRM computers on to stop them falling off on the pavé	Like many teams Bretange Schuller put double bartape on their bikes, though they decided to make a feature out of it.	Lampre were not riding their normal Cento Uno opting for a more relaxed frame for the cobbles, this one with Ambrosio rims and Vittoria Pavé tubulars	Garmin Barracuda, spare wheels lined up, all with FMB's handcrafted tubulars. Garmin Barracuda ran Mavic's SSC Cosmics, Vaughters commented that the frames are comfortable enough, it allows the riders to run a more aerodynamic rim.	FDJ rode Di2 with satellite shifters on the bars and double bar tape for extra padding.	Farnese Vini's Pozzato rode a very basic looking bike. Note the low profile rims for extra comfort and lack of Di2 shifting.	Farnese Vini another team to opt for more basic, yet secure bottle cages.
Cofidis was another French team with riders riding with additional brake levers.	BMC's newly launched GranFondo	BMC's Granfondo frame with its angled stays and fork. Taylor Phinney said it felt like he had suspension front and rear. All chose the GranFondo for its added comfort, but without Di2. Note the more relaxed angles for comfort forcing dropped stems.
