Both parties are not going to get the best out of the situation, although it would have been interesting to see what would have happened if the cyclist had simply reached in and removed the car's keys…

No, actually that would be excessive. Dropping them at the local police station? Simply removing them and dropping them on the floor would be enough time to leave.
drivers never go the wrong way on one way streets, never jump red lights and definitely never break the speed limit.
The cyclist is obviously wrong, lycra lout!!! no lights, blocking traffic, etc etc
