With the abuse of laser pointers as an example.

What happens if these are not mounted properly?

I have a feeling anyone using these might attract the attention of Plod.

I had a similar light to review last winter, for CTC's Cycle Magazine, and found that while it looked impressive in situations like those shown the laser lines on the road almost vanish when headlights approach. They also used lots of battery power. The conclusion was that, although the LED light was pretty decent, the laser was a just a gimmick.

I'd advise just getting a good light, or two.

tried one last year. mounting broke. useless, andd dangerous if it happens mid ride.
