Well, slow news days are good for some things....

Anybody see the BBC had a section on 'the Myth of Road Tax'?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-23694438

At least a slow news day is good for something. Next on the list should be ASLs or does anyone else have a preference for a worthy cycling related news feed.

Btw - love the Churchill quote. A t-shirt with that and a huge slogan on a cycling jersey reading "YOU PAY VEHICLE EXCISE DUTY - it's a tax on emissions dummy" might be a winner.

I'd be quite happy for more of the VED going to road upkeep.

On some days I think the poor road surfaces are more of an issue than the bad drivers...

+1

Edinburgh is awful for its poor road surfaces. Potholes that could swallow bike and rider whole and thats even on some major routes.

Most thought it was a tax to pay for potholes

Now it all makes sense... "road tax" is being used to create potholes in a deliberate attempt to discourage cyclists.
