Tour de France Stage 15 - MONT VENTOUX-

Well after a lot of indecision and several attempts, I have finally settled on my line up for the battle up Mont Ventoux.
I have taken a 10 point penalty but realistically got 8 riders who can score...

Kennaugh can hardly move. Only Porte left. Has he got anything in the tank? If not, the break could make it. Could the GC mark until the last couple of k?

Talansky and Kwia gone.

Porte doing a good job but still 7.5 to go. Nieve has been dropped. Can he hang on for a reasonable position?

Froome v Quintana. But Quintana hasn't cracked. Nieve with Contador.

Porte 5th. Good for my purists if he can hang on.

Bet Quintana's killing himself for soft-pedalling the ITT (under team orders of course!).

Froome
Quintana
Nieve
Pinot
De Gendt
Navarro
Mederel
Fischer
El Fares

1,2,3 on the road but my punts on Navarro/Pinot/De Gendt didn't work.

Reckon Froome needs to drop Quintana if he wants to win the stage. Quintana probably has the advantage at the end.

I would be very happy with a podium badge. Long time since I had one of those.

Why do you get the impression he soft-pedalled? Being the No. 2 man on the team, back then, I don't think they would have asked him to do that 39

I think Contador will give Nieve 3rd as Nieve is helping him.

Porte caught by the Mollema group. Reckon my Cycling News team will have 6 in the top 10ish.

There will be a group who get away (i bet 90% will be French) and they will hit Ventoux with a 7 minute gap to the GC boys who will then set a pace to the top that will ultimately shed everyone bar about 6 riders -

Froome
Quintana
Mollema
Contador
Valverde
Rodriguez.

Out of that group i hope Froome kicks their arses and wins by a country mile. Happy days 4

Nice prediction stumps, epic win again from Froome dog! 41

1,2,3 on the stage and nothing much else. Will probably drop places tonight but it was a cracking stage.

1,2,3,9 plus points for Rolland and El Fares. With GC and mountain table points should be pretty good.

Purist: 1, 2, 15

Cycling News 1,2,3,5,8,9,13,19. Good start to my big week there.

Roaduk 1, 2, 8, 9. Gives me a better idea for the last few transfers I've got there.

1,2,5,6 not sure if that's good enough as a few ahead of me have Nieve 2

1,2,3 plus a couple of other odd scraps of points. Not bad, but I should've let head rule heart and put in the the two Belkin boys rather than my patriotic punts on Rolland and Bardet.

Rest day next, will need a bit of time to think through the next stage's picks.

Went for Rolland. More for Tues. than today, but put in Ten Dam as a cheap version of Mollema. If I'd gone Mollema could have won the stage with El Fares 3 points as I think 12389 is the best team possible given the points.
