Upgrading to a carbon frame

im thinking of upgrading my aluminium frame for carbon.

ive got a decent group set and wheels so not looking for a complete bike. got about £1000 to spend.

from internet searches ive found Ribble, Planet X, Starley and Condor all sell frames within budget... but are they any good? are there any other frames worth looking at? Is it worth looking at used frames?

thanks for any help!

@tomoftom

check out the cheapest Specialized Tarmac (£1200?)

affordable way to get an excellent frame with lifetime warranty and crash replacement scheme - the cheapest Tarmac (plus several models up..) use the "SL 2" (the old S-Works frame from a few seasons back)

Check Canyon too. They seem reasonably priced, and if you have a race license they give a discount on the frames
