Giro game - pick three Italians
I figured I'd pull this into a separate thread:
Here's a game for you then, pick three Italians for 50 credits or less, combined fantasy score at the end of the race wins. Only riders making it to the end of the race count, if your's quits mid race, they get no points

TDF - 3 brits
Vuelta - almost certainly 3 colombians
Or should it be kept as native riders??
The format works best with grand tours and I think native riders gives more variety.
Three Brits at the tour would basically be half the teams with Cav, half with Froome then people scrambling around for cheap riders, unless there are no Brits under 5 credits in which case it becomes even less varied.
The other thing is that with the format being what it is and abandons scoring zero the three week long races add a level of unpredictability to it and as in the Giro, being well out in front after week one doesn't mean you'll win.
I'm happy to let people run other races but I'll only be doing the grand tours with native riders.

Just curious, how has my score decreased since last week? All three of my lads are still riding.
Well Modolo and Aru have been flops so far. If Modolo's going to get anything it'll be today - on home turf.
As has Garzelli. It has to be his last Giro at 39yrs and he thought he might have done a bit better to be honest.

Think Dave has said somewhere above it'll be a coin toss/random name pull from a bag if it's a draw.
Di Luca is out for a positive EPO test
His results should still stand though (I think the rules are like that), so it really is tooth and nail now, what with today's stage cancelled as well!
Surely his points are cancelled. He's out the race. Rider has to make it to the end for points to count.
The rules for this 'Pick 3 Italians' game say that anyone who fails to finish doesn't score.
In the main game i'm not sure.....perhaps we need some clarification on DiLuca(and Sylvain Georges for that matter)....Frank Schleck's points were DEFINITELY deducted once he tested positive at Le Tour.
Damn, so no points in this competition, but for the normal competition, the rules are stated as follows:
Disqualified riders
If a rider is disqualified or suspended then they won't score any points for the stage in which they were disqualified. Their other points from other stages will remain in the game.
So yesterday's points should still stand for Di Luca, and all other points. But no future points and nothing in the "pick three Italians"
