Yes,probably three Frenchmen as its their home tour plus the credit limit forces you to probably only pick one of the main guys (Voeckler, Rolland, Bouhanni) and try some of the cheaper riders.

Three Frenchmen should also be more varied because you don't have such an obvious high scorer as Nibali was for the Giro.

Yes, and finally something from Modolo. I messed this one up big time. Aru was a disappointment.

Don't buy upgrades. Ride up grades. (Merckx)

So I win.....right?

It was about amassing the smallest number of points from your three riders over the Giro? Thinking

I could really use a new pair of socks, old pair are starting to wear through Nerd

I hope I don't have my math wrong, but I think the 3 best teams for this competition would have been:

No. 1
Vicenzo Nibali
Giovanni Visconti
Franco Pellizotti

No. 2
Giovanni Visconti
Mauro Santambrogio
Stefano Pirazzi

No. 3
Vicenzo Nibali
Giovanni Visconti
Rafael Andriato

I think Pinot will outscore everybody....unless TiVo has a blockbuster day like last year where he crests 4 Cat 1's first and wins the stage?

The Low Counties? Hampshire,Sussex and Kent? LOL

The Low CountRies would probably be good for Spring Classics or such?

Think if you did the Home Counties it would give you a bigger range of riders Nerd Wink as you could throw in riders from Surrey and Berkshire etc in to the mix

Congrats to Alan.

Thanks. Pure luck of course but a nice little game I was glad of after a poor first week took me out of contention for anything else. Worth having for the Grand Tours I think and the TdF will be particularly tough to call.

I wonder what Santa Dave will find for me! (Not a pump please!)

Can we do this every time?

Criterium - ??
TDF - 3 brits
Vuelta - almost certainly 3 colombians

Or should it be kept as native riders??

I think the Good Doctor will have his hands full with the Grand Tours(native riders)?

The format works best with grand tours and I think native riders gives more variety.

Three Brits at the tour would basically be half the teams with Cav, half with Froome then people scrambling around for cheap riders, unless there are no Brits under 5 credits in which case it becomes even less varied.

The other thing is that with the format being what it is and abandons scoring zero the three week long races add a level of unpredictability to it and as in the Giro, being well out in front after week one doesn't mean you'll win.

I'm happy to let people run other races but I'll only be doing the grand tours with native riders.
