Giro on the Radio
It looks like cycling has definitely gone mainstream. Yesterday both the BBC and Channel 4 news had reports about the Giro. Although, Channel 4 stated that Stephen Roche was the only English speaker ever to have won the Giro. Not sure Andy Hampsten or Ryder Hesjedal would be happy about that.
And tomorrow night Radio 5 has an hour long Giro preview followed by a Marco Pantani documentary. Also, it looks like there will be live commentary of the Giro every afternoon on Radio 5 Sports Extra.
Not as good as TV, but if you're at work it might be a good way of following the race.
