So far 1,2,7 standard and 1,6,8 purist - much better!
awesome, I have exactly none of those people in either of my teams....
1,2 and 6, nearly brought in Ferrari too which is annoying but hey ho.
Also, penalty transfers for the win!
Great another crash and burn day....
1 and 6 rubbish what to do tomorrow though? Cav
I can't believe I did better than you in the prologue. I actually had a pretty good team (Porte, Talansky, Rui Costa, Betancur) until I read the forum and changed a couple of riders. Only got Meersman today and some GC points so you'll catch up a bit. I hope I do better at the start of the Giro but I think I've learnt a few lessons (don't leave out the favourite just because they're expensive!) and this is probably the last premium game I'll bother with, (and I'm not bothering that much).
I totally misread how the prologue would go - I've never come across such a short uphill TT before so had no idea. The right play in that instance would be to play safe with some main GC guys, but hey man, thats just not how I roll...
Better today, half of guys in the top ten would be in hardly any teams so 1,2,7 plus hopefully a little bit more will probably be a half-decent score. I think my purist team looks fairly good - just needs some Swiss breakaway action over the next couple of days...
Top 20:-
1 MEERSMAN Gianni (OPQ) 04:29:09
2 NIZZOLO Giacomo (RLT)
3 FERRARI Roberto (LAM)
4 MEZGEC Luka (ARG)

6 GAVAZZI Francesco (AST)
7 GOSS Matthew Harley (OGE)
8 COSTA Rui Alberto (MOV)
9 BILLE Gaetan (LTB)
10 MARCATO Marco (VCD)
11 VANENDERT Dennis (LTB)
12 BAKELANTS Jan (RLT)
13 SUTTON Christopher (SKY)
14 NERZ Dominik (BMC)
15 FLORENCIO CABRE Xavier (KAT)
16 HOLLENSTEIN Reto (IAM)
17 VIVIANI Elia (CAN)
18 PREIDLER Georg (ARG)
19 VAN DEN BROECK Jurgen (LTB)
20 BETANCUR Carlos (ALM)
Get in i got exactly - no one in the top 20
No one in the top 20 either, damn and blast.
19 and 20. poor.
I'm quite proud that I predicted the nationalities of the 1, 2. I meant Meersman and Gavazzi though. Ah well. Onto tomorrow...
101 except I used 5 transfers so... 71... not amazing but hopefully I'm set up well for the next two days.
My aim for the week is to get to 8000 points so that I have a more realistic chance of hitting 10k during the Giro. Unfortunately after a couple of lacklustre days that means I need to average 130+ for the next four stages.
Not a good day - only bright spot was picking Bille. Rui Costa and Meersman now in.
