The Forum's Scorum's Rainbow Jersey will be worn by technojim who took the World Championship with his purist team and as such took both standard and purist events.......and it will be nice to have just ONE wearer of the rainbows between now and next year's event in Ponferrada,Spain.
Can I display the stripes in all forum postings or just this conversation?

Can you assign the stripes as your signature?
That looks proper Technojim.......I wonder if the Road C.C team can act like the UCI and file lawsuits against anyone else abusing the 'forum stripes'
He's going to be unsufferable when he comes home now....
Still a race to complete the badges though. Both of us waiting for one more.
A bit of in-house rivalry.Like it....who's the Wiggo and whose the Froome-Dog?
Le Grand Souffle of the Autumn Classics turned out to be Natal1a who pipped dad stevemarks. He won't be best pleased to have finished second in the purist section as well....this time to drheaton
It's been a bridesmaid season for me all round, and I am still void a badge as well, with little hope of picking it up on the last day of the season. I also set myself a target of top 20 overall for the season and there is a danger that I will miss that by a smidge too, after looking fairly safe a few days ago.
Great season everyone, it has been very enjoyable and I am really looking forward to next year already. It's going to be a long dark winter, but at least I have the Beast of Exmoor to look forward to next weekend.
Fantasy Cycling, bringing families together. Thankfully I managed to avoid being beaten overall by my mum, who only started to play because,
"I have to listen to you lot waffling on about cycling so much I reckon I could pick a decent team"
I think I'm going to have to start watching cyclocross to tide me over the winter.
That's pretty cool. What's your mum's user ID?...
Enrique's on the pull!
Fantasy cycling forum is now a dating agency.
Heh heh.. made me crack a smile... Made me wonder if she's anywhere near my age
Well I have to say , I enjoyed the season I enjoyed the banter but I'm gutted, missing the start of the tour of Beijing likely cost me 20th spot in the fs overall ......bring on next season and as Arnold said ....I'll be back
The last event of the year fittingly went to Wig_Billy who crossed the line first in Bird's Nest Square to win the Forum's Scorum'sTour of Beijing and stevemarks(lock up your daughters!!) finished off his late season run of form by taking the purist event.
The final overall table looked like this
1 Veelers Wheel Wig_Billy 24876
2 Ratcliffe26 TERatcliffe26 23800
3 Pharmacie Roulant Jonas Lorenzen 23352
4 skidders skeletons stevemarks 22830
5 The Pigeons chrisdstripes 22729
6 Mostly Hopeless drheaton 22514
7 Team Cairns robacairns 22430
8 dum spiro lacesso simon F 22172
9 Les Miserables 2013 JAndrewHill 22031
10 Rule #5 livestrongnick 21750
with Wig_Billy a resounding FS World No1by more than 1000pts and his 24876pt total adds weight to the argument for a 25k 'Holy grail' badge.
The Purist Table Top 5
Veelers Wheel (Purist) Wig_Billy 16962
The Pigeons (Purist) chrisdstripes 16136
Ratcliffe26 (Purist) TERatcliffe26 15932
Mostly Hopeless (Purist) drheaton 15388
Pharmacie Roulant (Purist) Jonas Lorenzen 14776
All in all a really enjoyable season in the Forum's Scorum's League and I may experiment by attempting to add a 'UCI pts' type element to the league with each event having a scoring table and points being totalled up.
I propose:
Grand Tour:35,20,15,10,7,5,4,3,2,1
Grand Tour Purist:10,6,3,2,1
Multi Stage Race:10,6,3,2,1
Multi Stage Race Purist:5,4,3,2,1
Autumn Classics/Spring Classics/Worlds/Commonwealths(standard only):20,15,10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1
Every Stage(excluding TTT):3,2,1....ties will be broken by GC position within that competition and then within the game.
Let me know what you think.
I like the points idea, but why not have separate standard and purist points with a combined 'league' based on positions ie if you are 1st standard and 11th purist you get a combined score of 12. If you are 4th standard and 6th purist you get a combined score of 10. Lowest score wins the combined league.
So Wig_Billy would have had a combined score of 2,TERatcliffe 5,chrisdstripes 7,Jonas Lorenzen 8 and so on?
A bit like the 'combined' jersey in the Vuelta.....like it.
So currently we'll have:
1)Overall Standard,Purist and Combined
2)Individual Tours/Competitions
3)FS 'Points' competition(as outlined earlier-a type of UCI ranking thingy)
I might need an assistant to help from time to time if there's any volunteers?
Should be easy enough to manage with a spreadsheet, just copy the competition league table into a separate tab per comp and set up some formulae. Don't know if I'll have time to help but I can definitely set a clever spreadsheet up that should do most of the work for you.
Probably best to think about how it'll all work in January once we know what changes to the game have been made.
Sounds like a plan.
There seems to be 3 different Forums Scorums Options now.....did anyone else set up leagues with this name?
I haven't but I believe Dave said that last years had carried forward so another didn't need setting up.
May be best to try and get one shut down to avoid confusion. "Forum's Scorum's" [76157] seems to be the larger of the leagues and probably the carry forward from last year with both the "Forums Scorums" [77397] and purist version [77398] of that considerably smaller.
If we get everyone to agree we just leave the leagues mentioned above and it wont be a problem. However i like the idea of the purely purist league as it could keep the two different teams apart - purist and normal ?
I'll start a new thread outling which league it is,previous results and scoring.
