Vuelta al Pais Vasco - Stage 4

Tough decisions to make today, will Txurruka go in the break again?  Will the same people be racing for the win or will the slightly easier finale make for a different selection.

My transfer decisions are basically which 2 of 3 riders do I drop for which 2 of 3 I want?

I can either drop Fuglsang and Barguil for Ulissi and Didier or another sub 6 credit rider or I can drop Peraud and Barguil for Ulissi and Txurruka.

I don't really want to drop Peraud and I'm worried that Txurruka pretty much has the jersey sewn up now so won't go in the break today but he's a guaranteed 10 points whatever happens.

Spilak off the front! Too early maybe.

I hope so, I hope he goes too early, breaks, falls off his bikes and ends the race in a pool of tears.

Sorry, that's kind of mean but I really really really don't want him to score a single point today.

Wow - 1,2,3,4,5,6,16 plus 10 for Txurruka!
Tho' I guess there will be a lot of fairly similar teams.

Peraud and Talansky both slid off over the line - comically slippery, no wonder Quintana didn't celebrate!

I don't effin believe it. 5 riders out of the 1st 6 and I still haven't got my podium badge 14
1,2,4,5,6,9 and (I think) 15

1,3,4,6,7,9 and Txurruka is still my least favourite rider after choosing today to not go in the break 14

Think I must be down about 30 points on my Spilak -> Txurruka transfer, why did Spilak choose today of all days to start to ride aggressively?

4 of the top 7: 1246 plus Sanchez 9th. Ulissi 15th, Talansky 19th.

Peraud and Talansky crash. Should have brought in Spilak rather than Ulissi.

Chrisdstripes got a bit closer to me in East Anglia but I prob made ground on Ray in Forum Scorum, so mixed day.

Break tomorrow but doubt if Txurruka will go in it!! 3

Just realised that there will be fantasy KOM points for the last climb as the summit was 2km before the finish - is that right?

I'll have to take a look at the profile when I score the stage. Generally where the summit is close to the finish (within a couple of km) then it doesn't count but there's an element of discretion on how close is too close.

Once I've had a look I'll run it past Dave (arbiter of all things fantasy cycling) and let you know the outcome when I put the scores up.

For reference, there was a KoM point a couple of km from the finish of a Tirreno stage this year which wasn't scored but each stage is taken on it's own merits.

Spilak took the points, so it must have been bfore he got caught. There was even a 2k descent. So I'd score that. 3
