vac stage three
Im sure Wiggo will come third, on the heels of jrod and valverde, but I cannot afford all three. Sobs. So i'll prob go for gesink.
Ive messed up by picking Uran and Hesjedal from the start, so I axed Uran for Wiggo as well as axing Dumoulin, Meersman and Wellens
Best to miss a stage and see who's going well!
Uran is not too far back and mzy shine at the summit today...so I kept him and brought in wiggo too..
So 12345 is valverde, purito, wiggo, gesink, uran.
#youhearditherefirst
I've managed to squeeze in Valverde, Rodriguez and Wiggins, so hoping for a good day especially if a couple of my cheapo's are up there in the top 20. Salerno for the break again maybe?
Purist has Valverde, Rodriguez, Uran and Quintana. I have to say I'll be pretty peeved if today doesn't go well!
I think everyone will probably have a very similar team for the stage, but its the person who picks the "unknown" that skips up the hills with the gc boys that will get the stage victory.
I've run the risk of Spilak and Kadri for today.
Stumpy
Well my team has lost the plot, I think I was too hasty as other teams have Wiggo, Valverde, Rodriguez and I couldn't find the credits so now I have this
Wiggins
Hesjedal
Quintana
Niemiec
Machado
Majka
Agnoli
Wellens
Ratto
Six changes, dropped all of my sprinters in order to pick up Rodriguez and some cheap climbers.
Rodriguez
Valverde
Gesink
Martin
Simon
Salerno
Richeze
Kreder
Quintanilla
I decided against penalty transfers, so still have Meersman and another cheap sprinter, happy with the rest though...
Rodriguez
Valverde
Wiggins
Betancurt
Landa
Salerno
Preidler
Meersman
Poulhies
Seems my hope is that Ryder wins
I've only got seven left in my purist so not much hope for me there then.
Despite not having him in my team I actually hope Wiggins wins as my fantasy DS team really needs the World Tour points!
4 man break - Kohler (BMC), Haedo (CAN), Domagalski (CJR) & Edet (COF)
Dammit, I took out Haedo last night
Quote:4 man break - Kohler (BMC), Haedo (CAN), Domagalski (CJR) & Edet (COF)Dammit, I took out Haedo last night
Kohler was the guy I was bringing in for tomorrow
Made my 4 free transfers today
J-Rod in for Davis..last yesterday and DNS today
Agnoli in for Meersman
Salerno in for DuMoulin
Meier in for Fenn
Quintana
Elissonde
Jeannesson
Valverde
Nocentini
Purists
Domagalski(in the break
)
J-Rod
Valverde
Jeannesson
Elissonde
Majka
Fenn
Spilak
Horner(withdrawn
)
J Rod win I reckon today but then I always think that when it's an uphill finish.....DeGendt a threat but he normally gets his big wins off the front.
Come on FDJ.....I wanna see Mark Madiot pushing Jeannesson or Elissonde to the line!!
First intermediate sprint
1)Haedo 6 fantasy pts
2)Edet 4 fantasy pts
3)Domagalski 2 fantasy pts
Damn that man Haedo, how dare he score points when I've dropped him
I'm hoping for a Martin/Gesink win or one of my cheapo DSs to do something.
The thing that'd hurt me most is a Wiggins/Sky win with both Rodriguez and Valverde dropped.
Got Kohler in the break in my standard team.
team is:
Bradley Wiggins
Daniel Martin
Nairo Quintana (points if valverde wins)
Joaquin Rodriguez
Robert Wagner (points if gesink wins)
Simon Spilak (points if j-rod wins)
Danny Pate (points if wiggins wins)
Blel Kadri
Martin Kohler (in the break)
Stumpy
Sant Hilari KOM Cat 1(1st climb)
35 Kohler, Martin (SUI / BMC) 9 fantasy pts
195 Domagalski, Karol (POL / Caja Rural) 8 fantasy pts
205 Edet, Nicolas (FRA / Cofidis) 7 fantasy pts
42 Haedo Lucas (ARG / Cannondale) 6 fantasy pts
46 Salerno, Cristiano (ITA / Cannondale) 5 fantasy pts
26 Bobridge, Jack (AUS / White) 4 fantasy pts
25 Clement, Stef (NED / White) 3 fantasy pts
117 Erviti, Imanol (ESP / Movistar) 2 fantasy pts
186 Rujano, Jose (VEN / Vacansoleil) 1 fantasy pts
Haedo (Can), Kohler (BMC), Edet (Cof) and Domagalski (Caj) now have a gap of 6' with just under 90km to go
13 points so far for Kohler, not bad
Stumpy
13 points so far for Kohler, not bad
Plus a placing in KOM and Sprints competitions.
Just switched on eurosport to see yesterdays stage being rerun ! obviously no live feed again
Stumpy
Richeze abandons.

Apparently today is a bit behind schedule because of the weather, so we should still get a good bit of live racing...

Quintana wins![]()
1,2,3 for me....I love it when a plan comes together.
Good job! 1,2,3,9 for purist, 2,3,4 for standard. Hoping I can just about afford to bring in Quintana for Meersman for tomorrow...

4 Scarponi +13
5 Niemiec +13
6 Quintana +22
7 Gesink +36

Bloody valverde 1,3,4 standard plus 2,3,6,9 gc and 1,4,5 purist plus 3,6,8 on gc from the top 10, dont know 11 - 20 yet.
Stumpy
After my terrible start of 5 points stage 1 , I've managed 1,2,4 plus 1,3,6 gc today , hopefully get the 123 tommorrow
Go on, ask me then, who got his high roller badge today?
Ive decided to drop Meersman and Arroyo.

Nice one...and with your purist team too!!
Number 1 in London
Just going to bring in Domagalski for Agnoli tomorrow......hoping that Jeannesson and Elissonde do something as I was tempted to take one of them out for Lopez,Stetina or Niemiec.
