Gent - Wevelgem

Last year's Top 20 at Gent doesn't really indicate any real climbing, but I don't know the race well. Has anyone seen the altimetry profile for Gent or know the race well enough to comment on the climbs and if they have affected the race in previous years?

2012 Top 20

1 Tom Boonen (Bel) Omega Pharma-Quickstep
2 Peter Sagan (Svk) Liquigas-Cannondale
3 Matti Breschel (Den) Rabobank Cycling Team
4 Oscar Freire Gomez (Spa) Katusha Team
5 Edvald Boasson Hagen (Nor) Sky Procycling
6 Daniele Bennati (Ita) Radioshack-Nissan
7 Marco Marcato (Ita) Vacansoleil-DCM Pro Cycling Team
8 Steve Chainel (Fra) FDJ-Big Mat
9 Filippo Pozzato (Ita) Farnese Vini - Selle Italia
10 Giovanni Visconti (Ita) Movistar Team
11 Johan Vansummeren (Bel) Garmin-Cervelo
12 Matthew Harley Goss (Aus) GreenEdge Cycling Team
13 Fabian Cancellara (Swi) Radioshack-Nissan
14 Christian Knees (Ger) Sky Procycling
15 Jon Izaguirre Insausti (Spa) Euskaltel - Euskadi
16 Daniel Oss (Ita) Liquigas-Cannondale
17 Anders Lund (Den) Team Saxo Bank
18 Maarten Wynants (Bel) Rabobank Cycling Team
19 Vladimir Isaichev (Rus) Katusha Team
20 Oscar Gatto (Ita) Farnese Vini - Selle Italia

Its a strong mans race is the answer, enough climbing to get rid of pure sprinters but will be won by someone who can sprint (or a break), Sagan, Boonen, GVA, EBH that type of rider

Not as far as I know

Also just to point out it doesn't mean that someone like Greipel won't make the finish, but would need a really good day

Whats the plan for the riders list as regards purists, if teams haven't confirmed their Flanders/Roubaix line-ups before this weekend?

At the mo you can only pick riders listed for Gent-Wevelgem, but someone might, for their purist team, want to pick someone who isn't riding G-W, but is riding the other two (EG Chavanel, or a cheap DS).

Any chance we can add in the riders that are confirmed for Flanders/Roubaix on, say, Friday, even if we don't have the full list? Gives us a chance to sort our purist teams.

Thankyee!

You can still find the other riders by selecting show all riders rather than just riding the stage and select them that way

I can only find 22 riders listed in any Paris-Roubaix startlists so far so I reckon that as the week goes on we'll see a few additions to the game list.

As a general rule of thumb, most of the stars, Cancellera, Boonen etc are likely to ride all 3 so thats what ive kinda based my team on for purist, then with the cheap guys put riders in that are defo riding Gent and should ride the others (Offredo Wink )
