Paris Nice stage 6
I seem to have made a bit of a mess of my team
Would have loved to have used tomorrows transfers today and not had any for tomorrow
So here goes
Porte
Peraud
Westra
Tejay
Talansky
Chavanel
Ulissi
Quintana
Hivert
In all honesty I wanted to axe Hivert but not have to axe Velits, but needed Porte in and so couldn't get enough credits to axe Hivert today with just 2 transfers. I will axe him and Qunitana for tomorrow, with two cheapish guys in mind
Simon Clarke (OGE) Egor Silin (AST), Gatis Smukulis (KAT), Eduard Vorganov (KAT), Brent Bookwalter (BMC), Arnold Jeanneson (FDJ), Julien El Fares (SOJ), Borut Bozic (AST), Jerome Pineau (OPQ), Romain Bardet (ALM), Johann Tschopp (IAM) have 50 seconds on the peloton after 25km. Not much yet but it has grown from 11 secs.
So Simon Clarke actually does something now ive axed him and one of choices for tomorrow has gone in the break
Also toyed with Bardet. Just can't get the right day for the breakaway guy in this race
Gap at 50 seconds, looks like it will go unless Argos want it back as Hupond is not in there
I went risky dropping Roche and Gesink for De Gendt and Lofkvist hoping they'd go for the stage win.
De Gendt
Lofkvist
Talansky
Porte
Westra
Peraud
Quintana
Ulissi
Chavanel
unless De Gendt/Lofkvist do something I'll probably lose ground today.

Compared to my team Tejay will create the difference, unless Hivert somehow does something, but cant see him being there at the end.
I just regret choosing Velits yesterday over Porte as I would have had a guy in the break today else (as well as 40 points more)
After 50km, gap is now 2'50". That looks like the Break of the Day sorted.
Cleared my backlog of transfers today sending in Tschopp(in the break for KOM points-woohoo),Peraud,Porte and Spilak for Grivko,Keizer,Izagirre and Kelderman.
Ulissi
Peraud
Spilak
Westra
Tejay
Talansky
Porte
Quintana
Tschopp
With Quintana and Tschopp probably coming out tomorrow for Kloden plus Coppel or Jeannesson.
After 2 poor days I've sorted my team with penalty points again!
Porte
Talansky
Westra
Chav
Velits
Spilak
Quintana
Lopez
Peraud
Tschopps gobbling up the KOM points
A KOM jersey will do IAM Cycling no harm when the TDF wildcards are handed out!!
Van Summeren, Klier, Gesink, Offredo and Zeits have all abandoned.
De Gendt has also abandoned aswell
I need Jeanneson to grab at least 1 point in the break and I "should" get a full house badge again today
There goes my forum scorum lead thanks to De Gendt quitting, at least it was Gesink I dropped so I'm no worse off but that transfer was not my best judged ever.
Annoyingly I toyed with bring Jeannesson in this morning.
Oh well, its been a fun tour, its nice to get back to the proper racing.
More abandonment news. Renshaw has quit.
Result on the 1st category Cote de Cabris (Km 138.5)
1. Tschopp 10 points
2. Jeannesson 8 pts
3. Bookwalter 6 pts
4. Bozic 4 pts
5. Silin 3 pts
6. Pineau 2 pts
7. Vorganov 1 pt
Obviously that'll count 7,6,5,4,3,2,1 for game purposes
Peloton 1:55 adrift.

starting to look like a possible 2nd full house
I took in Ulissi over Tschopp.....
Sylvain Chavanel
Gorka Izagirre
Tejay van Garderen
Richie Porte
Lieuwe Westra
Andrew Talansky
Bart de Clercq
Diego Ulissi
Arnold Jeannesson
Still got a couple of my stage 1 picks
Result on the 1st category Col du Ferrier (Km 148.5)
1. Tschopp 10 points
2. Clarke 8 pts
3. Silin 6 pts
4. Bardet 4 pts
5. Jeannesson 3. pts
6. Vorganov 2 pts
7. Siutsov 1 pt
Once again 7,6,5,4,3,2,1 for our purposes
The peloton one minute adrift.
Just hoping Hivert will be at the finish
David Harmon "Kiryienka took a massive dump on the tarmac a couple of days ago". Could have been better phrased. Perhaps it's because they've just done the sprint in Tourrettes

LIKE
Chavanel....What a sprint
Surprised how many sprinter type guys made it into that group.
Should be another full house for me including the winner
only 1st and 9th but that will be better than most I reckon
1st and 7th. Glad I couldn't afford to drop Bozic
I did drop Gallopin though

122 points for me I reckon
140 for me, I think. Mostly down to Bozic being in the break.

Correct i make it 140 for you
Whoever has the same team as ours but having taken a gamble on Tschopp will have won the stage
anyone think Coppel will try tomorrow? he finished way behind again
I might have got 142, happy with that as no-one in the break (again)

Who knows - I've not read anything to suggest he will, but on form he can climb and TT so maybe...
Did he fall though yesterday maybe feeeling the affects of that

134 - never was any good at working out the scores...
3 transfers for tomorrow - doubt I can afford who I want, but I'll have a look later. Maybe Menchov, but no GC points if he fails...
Ive just made 2 transfers, spilak for Quintana and Hivert replaced by my secret weapon

It was indeed 140. And another full house badge
Still can't get the podium badge though. Here's hoping for tomorrow
