Garmin Edge Rider Weight

Quick question: when entering rider weight on Garmin Edge units, is it a pants and socks weight or fully clothed, rucksack, etc. weight? There's quite a difference between the two...

Or would I be better off adding the fully laden weight to the weight of the bike? Garmin's site is not forthcoming with an answer.

I just put in MY weight. Not how much of a sandwich, gel in my pocket or anything else I may carry

I think the main purpose of the setting is so it can calculate calorie burn so your own weight rather than that including accessories etc you carry is more relevant, I guess.

As mentioned, weight data is mainly used to calculate your calorie burn.

Therefore the weight figures you choose to put in can be governed by just how accurate you want the above 'estimated value' to be!!

Put your weight as your actual weight, and the bike weight as bike + accessories + half your fluid (assuming you drink it all over a ride and therefore the average weight you're carrying will be half the full weight).
Then realise that the calorie burn is wildly inaccurate without a power meter and say "sod it, I'm eating some more cake because I've earned it".
