Keep my team as it is? Save 2 transfers for Stage 4? Tricky one, especially with tomorrow's uphill (sprint) finish.

Ive brought in Chava for Kristoff, as ive already got meersman and hivert for tomorrow/wed. Also the way Bouhanni went in Oman in the tough stages there, sticking in with GC guys, I wouldnt tut it past him again.

Then I will have 3 transfers for Wed but in all reality will only take out Viviani and maybe Renshaw

As a premium member do your free transfers total up over the week if not not used?

No conformation, but he rolled in 17 mins down so cant see him contesting the sprint tomorrow

I've dropped Kristoff today, he's broken nothing but apparently it's touch and go as to whether he rides so I don't expect him to contest the finish, this is from Katusha's website:

Quote:

Alexander Kristoff received haematoma in the area of sacrum, multiple abrasions and bruises of his back as well as of his left shoulder, leg and thigh. The same, he hit his head. Initial medical examination did not revealed any fractures.

My team:

Westra
Chavanel
Hivert
Haussler (for Kristoff)
Bouhanni
Viviani
Hutarovich
Renshaw
Kittel

Hoping for big things but worried that Boonen/Gilbert may fancy contesting the uphill finish today. Hoping that it's not really tough enough for them though.

We're getting closer - only one difference in our teams today! (Gallopin/Westra)

Boonen seems more worried about not crashing before the classics season than anything else, so hopefully he'll stay out of trouble...

Me too - my best is 179, and that was the day I forgot to make my transfers!

No break at the minute, Kristoff appears to have started Seeldrayers hasn't.

I chucked together a team after watching the last 10km yesterday. Needed to take out Rui Costa and Kristoff. Will finally be home this evening to catch up on it all.

The average speed in the second hour of the stage was 26.7 kph and the overall average speed was 29.6 kph.

Lip and hand injury for Bouhanni
The race doctor told France Televisions: "Nacer has a deep wound in the lip and a hand trauma. He's staying with us until the end of the stage and then going to hospital for further checks."

Nice to see it's not something that'll wreck his season. Hopefully he'll be up and running again and at full pace for the Tour.

Viviani takes the second sprint followed by Chavanel and Perez Moreno.

Viviani now in yellow by a second over Chavanel.

Boonen and OPQS on the front. Looks like they're driving the pace to try and break the sprinters and give Chavanel a shot up the short climb to the finish.

Had Bouhanni and once again failed to select Viviani. Silver lining though - had Kittel in the squad 4

Bah, dropping Howard after stage one keeps coming back to bite me in the ass. Anyone know where Haussler ended up?
