Thought i would start the post off early. I've made my transfers and got rid of Paolini and G. I think they spent to long out front today to make a go of it again tomorrow.

Dont say that about boom, ive just done my subs and I left boom in. But no cav or greipel...bit of a gamble but ill be happy with third thru ninth plus two breakaways
On official start list it looks like Tankink NOT Boom. I hope not as I picked Boom on the basis of form and the fact he was in the road cc list. I've just looked at official start list to check it out. Looks like a wasted pick if the official start list is correct 
Just had to take a penalty as i had 2 riders missing!

But we won't know until 11.30am if there is even a race. -9 forecast, so it might be cancelled.

I've been looking.... Nobody of same value or lower thats worth the risk in my opinion. If you have some credits banked there might be someone but nothing concrete within 4 or 5 credits. I still think I have a good team and rather the race went ahead than not.

Left G in, after thinking about it. Reckon his form is good enough to go for it again. Brought in Greipel, Hutarovich, Favilli and van Hecke (didn't realise he was in the break today, just chose him on the name as I needed someone cheap - still, you never know - riders do sometimes go on breaks two days in a row).
I couldn't see anything as I had to take my younger daughter on photography trip. My older daughter has got a football match tomorrow so I'm going to have to see if I can get an Internet feed while I watch her game and see the end at home. I might manage it if I'm lucky.

It'll just be zero points for everyone. It's an unlimited transfer window next so it doesn't affect the game too much except of course if you loaded your team for today, in which case, unlucky!
These things happen, its already happened once this season during the Tour Med (zero points for everyone then) and it'll no doubt happen again.
Just annoying for my purist team as I put in riders for today on that when I would have had Paolini had I not done a split deal. But hey ho on we go
Not too bad for me as my team was more for Omloop really. Would have had Paolini in Purist though if I'd known! Won't have to race back from football either so not all bad! Samyn was also cancelled in 2005 for snow according to wiki.

I think you only have the points deducted from the day's score, so you didn't lose any.

Thats because you took the risk and made changes and took penalty points.
If the race had gone ahead, you would have still lost 10 points because of the transfer, I don't see the difference. You may or may not have scored points in the race
I suspect another trial by "Judge Dave" coming up. 
I toyed with taking penalty points due to the Boom or not Boom issue. I decided to leave him in and not take the 10 point hit- Feel much better now if what gkam says sticks- I'm with gkam on this one

if it had been the middle of a stage race it might be different, but as it is the next transfer window is unlimited anyway. so there's no advantage gained by making the extra transfers
An interesting one, although not that it matters too much. There was info around on Friday which suggested Sunday race not likely to go ahead so I picked my team for Saturday (not that it made any discernible difference), even though Sunday race in theory easier to pick. In light of the same info, I didn't make extra transfers for Sunday. The game is connected to events in the real world - eyes open peoples....and nothing saying in the game that points will be refunded, well apart from the adjudication above.
I would have thought it would be easier to make a blanket it will cost you, rather than a case by case decision.
