It all comes down to this. Last stage and its close at the top with TER only 8 points ahead of me! I'm trying to secure my first top 10 of the season so who's your shout for the TT tomorrow? Martin, Westra and Castroviejo are obvious as is Sergeant probably but who else could come good? Can Henao TT, is Boaro in good form because he came quite far down today? What about Edmondson? Basically, how can I overhaul TERatcliffe?!

I could bring in Castroveijo and Sergent but I wont bring both in
Ive stuck with my gut and made my changes just
I have the budget for another TTer if I want to make a penalty transfer but then I'd be stuck with a 3 credit rider.
Anyone taking a punt on Kloden?
I may as well just tell you, Ive brought in Kloden and Castroviejo
Kloden is in much better form than last year, 6th on todays stage compared with finishing lower than 40th last year and loosing over 2 mins
It's stage 4 doc
I have brought in Martin and Castroviejo. I already have Kwiatkowski, Westra, Machado and Costa.
My decision really is whether to ditch JTL and Caruso for another like Kloden/Sergeant or whether I'm just setting myself up to lose out on penalty points.
Shhhhh.... I don't know what you're talking about.
No messing I've gone
Martin
Castro
Westra
Boaro
Costa
Jessie
Machado
Poels
Paulinho
20 point penalty, don't care cause I've got #1 in south west and not letting it go!!
Don't underestimate Kelderman!!
My remaining 3 transfers were Martin for DeGendt,Castroviejo for Henao,Westra for Bos which leaves my 13th placed team needing to make up 4 points for a top 10 finish in the Algarve
Kelderman
Martin
Westra
Castroviejo
Kwiatkowski
Machado
DeMaar
RuiCosta
Paulinho
Where's Freddie Kessiakoff and Svein Tuft when you need them?
And let's not forget Denis the Menace
Ive gone Edmonson, but that was as a penalty, so I coujld also bring in Martin and Westra. Who else. Would you have got for that money?
Ive had to stay with Henao, he should still score mountain points, maybe even for the points com too
and whose to say with victory on the line he still wont end up top 10 GC?
so mine is
Heneo
Westra
Machado
Da Costa
Edmondson
Martin
Kwiatowski
Castroviejo (for Bos)
Kloden (for Bazzana)
Martin
Henao
Westra
Kwiatkowski
Costa
Machado
Castroviejo
Tiernan-Locke
Caruso
First and foremost I'm hoping that I do enough to secure my top ten place in the competition then I want to overhaul my 8 point deficit to TER in the Forum Scorum league.
EDIT: crumbs, me and TER have the same team except for Tiernan-Locke/Caruso vs Kloden/Edmondson... and I'm on the losing end of that one
Oh well, just need to do enough to squeek a top 10 and I'll be happy.
I've gone for
Martin
De Gendt
Bosswell
Westra
Costa
Kruisjwuck
Menchov
Machado
Kwiatowski
Had to penalty transfer Kwit in for Dowsett as I didn't realise he pulled out.
Currently 23rd so hoping I can sneak a top 10
I've got
Sylvain Chavanel (OPQ)
Lieuwe Westra (VCD)
Rigoberto Uran (SKY)
Tony Martin (OPQ)
Rui Alberto Faria Da Costa (MOV)
Tiago Machado (RSN)
Bjorn Leukemans (VCD)
Manuele Boaro (SAX)
Ricardo-Jorge Mestre (EUS)
but I'm way out of contention in this one and my picks have been wrong all week! Hoping Boaro has saved something and he's got some mountain points at least! Had Chavanal yesterday but didn't work out. Swapped Kelderman for Westra as Kelderman has done bugger all all week so now he'll win it!!
Going out for a ride now to burn off my annoyance with this tour!!
Damn, I missed the deadline. Ah well, when there are as many competitions as this its bound to happen occasionally...
Denis Menchov (KAT)
Lieuwe Westra (VCD)
Wilco Kelderman (BLA)
Andreas Kloden (RSN)
Tony Martin (OPQ)
Rui Alberto Faria Da Costa (MOV)
Tiago Machado (RSN)
Sergio Miguel Paulinho (SAX)
Josh Edmonson (SKY)
Wondering about Dowsett, too.
Hoping to finally get the Full House badge today.
Martin
Menchov
Kelderman
Kloden
Costa
Westra
Marque
Kwiatowski
Machado
Oliveira the best of the early runners at 48'53" but on a course that's drying out and favouring later runners i reckon we'll see a sub 45 minute?

But they seem to have missed out Bakelants and Herrada who were 10 and 11 with Uran in 12th.
Well I think that gives me a fine score - all 9 riders in the top 12
1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 12 not a bad way to finish the stage !
1,2,5,7,8 on my standard team
plus
1,2,8 on purist and any other points for gc.
Better last 2 stages than the first 2 so cant grumble.
