Carbon braking rim worn!!

Hi all,

Ive got a pair of 50mm carbon wheels, with a carbon brakiong rim area.

I got caught out whilst riding in some god awlful weather, which managed to wash all sorts of abrasive building crap all over the country lanes i was riding on. there seems to be a powdery substance on the brake blocks when ive done even a short ride!

So, i was wondering if the braking area could be re-sealed?

Yes i know i got them from China, but they are round, balanced & ride real nice. Plus i cant afford a new set.

Help, please! 20

My brother recommended these to me http://www.carboncyclerepairs.co.uk for frames - might be worth a bell, I also believe there is a place in Leicester that does wonder with carbon repairs but I cant for the life of me remember who!

were you using the correct pads for carbon braking surfaces?

Unfortunately it may be a case of you get what you pay for......
