WTD : Front disc hub HELP
Ok, here goes, I've exhausted my searching abilities and only found ONE hub that fits the bill. Lets see what others can add.
I am looking for two front disc hubs for the trike, the specs are as follows
MUST BE
36 hole
6 bolt disc
12mm axle (can be 15 or 20mm with converter parts)
Would prefer Black hubs, must be the same, to keep the weight balanced on both sides.
What else can I add? I think they should be 100mm wide, but not 100% on that, because they don't have to fit into anything apart from the brake pads, there are no drop outs.
Hope hubs?
Yeah, Hope are the only one I can find that fits the bill, but hoping others come up with options.
shimano do an XT M758 6 bolt 15mm front.
or
Saint M810 20mm 36h center lock 20mm front.
you could convert the saint to run 6 bolt !
DMR revolver 20mm 6 bolt.
Sunn Ringle Demon 20mm 6 bolt.
Or for "stupid" money I believe Chris King do one as well
still on the 3rd switch-back of Bwlch !
Cheers Revo, the problem being that I can't find any converter parts for these, apart from the DMR which can go to 15 or 9mm with the end caps
You may not need to look for something other than the Hope hubs. The Pro 2 Evos are fantastic - I've got them on my Whyte Stirling with Velocity Deep Vs and they've been brilliant. Two years of commuting through all sorts of weather, no servicing (I know, I know...) and they still look like new internally and are running perfectly. The rear hub ratchet is *very* loud but I like that.
Yeah, I wont been needing a rear, because the rear hub I have is very specific and is the only hub which works with my cassette.
Hope have just informed the world of their new hubs http://t.co/c7Blq2Ne
PINK ones, so hoping they might do me a deal on two fronts.....
2 fronts.
Are you planning on using these on the rear? If so I would be keen to see your axle ends as I am thinking of something like that for my Rogers.
No, I have a recumbent trike, so they are for the front two wheels
