Tour Mediterraneen stage 5
My team has been emptied of all riders...
Ignore, was looking at wrong competition, doh.
Non starters today-
Antoine Lavieu
Guillaume Faucon
Yoann Bagot
My team
Nicolas Roche
Lars Boom
Peraud
Arthur Vichot
Rory Sutherland
Jeremy Roy
Reda
Thomas Lofkvist
Maxine Monfort
not been the best tour....but shit happens
Jurgen Roelandts to win please! So my purist team can stay top
my normal team is
Vimpere
Jungels
Ten Dam
Boom
Roelandts
Lofkvist
Monfort
Peraud
izagirre
my purist team
Voeckler
Izagirre
Peraud
Roux
Roelandts
Boom
Nizzolo
Pellizotti
Dekker (out)
The problem is that its so tight and the teams behind have the guys i have but also Monfort, Lofkvist and Roche
So I cant see it happening for me
8 non starters I believe
Yoann Bagot (Cofidis), Steve Morabito (BMC), Olivier Zaugg (Saxo Tinkoff), Moreno Hofland (Blanco), Lukasz Owsian (CCC Polsat), Antoine Lavieu, Yoann Paillot (La Pomme Marseille), Guillaume Faucon (BigMat Auber 93)
http://www.cyclingfans.com/node/6995
Theres the finish into Grasse
Thats my purist team screwed
Come on Roelandts or Voeckler
I think this group may be a minute ahead of the peleton
Voeckler, Malacarne (Europcar), Montaguti, Kadri (AG2R La Mondiale), Molard (Cofidis), Hondo (Radioshack Leopard), Greipel (Lotto Belisol), Pires (Saxo Tinkoff), Jeandesboz (Sojasun), Chavez Rubio (Colombia), Chiarini, Rosa (Androni) et Roy (FDJ)
Need a solo breakaway win for Voeckler to win the purist, come to Tommy V
Can you give us the link to your information?
Live ticker is at :-
http://direct.directvelo.com/live-course/1531/tour-mediterraneen-5e-etap...
(in French)
3 min 10 seconds now the gap
1 min 50 now after 58km I believe
Dodgy google translate but it looks like this at the front,
Location of the course:
In mind: a group of 17 riders with Jerome Kern (Europcar), Kadri (AG2R La Mondiale), Roy, Pinot (FDJ), Zingle (Cofidis), Wyss (BMC), Jungels (Radioshack Leopard), Greipel (Lotto) Petrov (Saxo Tinkoff), Izaguirre (Euskaltel) Keizer (Vacansoleil), Marino (Sojasun) Perichon (Bretagn
this group
Jérôme, Kern (Europcar), Kadri (AG2R La Mondiale), Roy, Pinot (FDJ), Zingle (Cofidis), Wyss (BMC), Jungels (Radioshack Leopard), Greipel (Lotto), Petrov (Saxo Tinkoff), Izaguirre (Euskatel), Keizer (Vacansoleil), Marino (Sojasun), Perichon (Bretagne Séché), Vimpère (BigMat Auber 93), Sella, Facchini (Androni)
has 2 mins 10 after 65km
Not looking good for my purist team now
Too many in the group now for any breakaway points
Too many in the group now for any breakaway points
Why? we get KOM and sprint points, not breakaway points
10 Points for each rider in a breakaway of under 10 I think, thats what it says in the rules I think
"Being in a breakaway
10 points for each rider in a breakaway of ten riders or less that's more than one minute ahead of the peloton at the halfway stage in a race"
Read this
http://fantasy.road.cc/stages?sid=5605
Breakaway points only really apply to classics where there aren't any sprint or KoM points on offer.
Ah I see
Jérémy Roy (FDJ) yellow jersey is "virtual". He is 1'30'' Monfort overall. (See for the bad translation)
I took Roy out
I have 3 in the break from my normal team, hoping Vimpere has got some more mountain points, but its my purist team I need to do well with
Still hoping it comes together for a Roelandts win!
Ah I see
Jérémy Roy (FDJ) yellow jersey is "virtual". He is 1'30'' Monfort overall. (See for the bad translation)
Hope he doesn't need a bike change today - his spare got nicked yesterday, too...

At least 10 points for my normal team with Vimpere
He has toped the 1st mountain and that should wrap up him the mountains Jersey
Résultat de la côte des Tullières (1ère catégorie) :
1 Théo Vimpère (BigMat-Auber 93)
2 Jérémy Roy (FDJ)
3 Thibaut Pinot (FDJ)
4 Pierre-Luc Perichon (Bretagne-Séché Environnement)
5 Blel Kadri (AG2R La Mondiale)
Vimpere and Greipel dropped from the break, but Vimpere did his job
Gap just 1.30 now, thinking it will all come back together before the end
Both riders are dropped from the breakaway Theo Vimpère (BigMat-Auber 93) and André Greipel (Lotto-Belisol).
Pierre-Luc Perichon is dropped!
Its all kicking off at the front, "Puncture in the breakaway Jean-Marc Marino (Sojasun).
4:11 p.m.
Giacomo Nizzolo (RadioShack Leopard) abandons."
Nizzolo has abandoned
Pinot Hits top of the climb with the points, the rest still not there yet!
1 Thibaut Pinot (FDJ)
2 Blel Kadri (AG2R La Mondiale)
3 Vincent Jérôme (Europcar)
2,20 is the gap now?
!!!!
Vimpère (BigMat-Auber 93) was caught by the peloton.
Ok so the breakaway is down to ony 11/12 now, heres how it looks:
Location of the course:
Jerome (Europcar), Kadri (AG2R La Mondiale), Roy, Pinot (FDJ), Zingle (Cofidis), D. Wyss (BMC), Jungels (Radioshack Leopard), Petrov (Saxo Tinkoff), Izaguirre (Euskaltel) Keizer (Vacansoleil-DCM), Sella and Facchini (Androni Giocattoli)
40'': Greipel (Lotto-Belisol) and Perichon (Brittany Séché)
44'': Marino (Sojasun)
1 ': Kern (Europcar)
at 2'20'': Squad
2nd mountain results
Passage au col du Tanneron (2e catégorie) :
1 Thibaut Pinot (FDJ)
2 Blel Kadri (AG2R La Mondiale)
3 Vincent Jérôme (Europcar)
Looks like the breakaway has broken up, that last climb really stretching now:
Roy (FDJ-BigMat), Kadri (AG2R-La Mondiale) and J. Izaguirre (Euskaltel) are in the leading group here, just the 3 of them now!
Roy (FDJ), Kadri (AG2R La Mondiale) and Izaguirre (Euskaltel)
10'': Jerome (Europcar)
35'': Zingle (Cofidis), Sella (Androni), Pinot (FDJ) and Keizer (Vacansoleil)
Peleton 2.50 away now
Roy has a 17 second lead of Izaguirre in GC
This is not coming back together, there goes my hopes in the purist!
Actually the guy that has Roy does not have izagirre I dont think
Hope this stays away
9km to go come on Izagirre! and Roelandts win through from the Peleton please
Its not gonna happen
6km to go
Pinot, Roy (FDJ), Kadri (AG2R La Mondiale), Izaguirre (Euskaltel), Keizer (Vacansoleil) et Petrov (Saxo Tinkoff).
Peloton only 36 seconds back
Hope Roelandts can do it instead, or Voeckler
kadri is on his own and everyone seems lost as to how long left to go
MY SEVERS DOWN HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
What happened to Izaguirre?
MY SEVERS DOWN HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
Its not just you
everyone is lost
Ok it looks like its going tio be a catch here
Roelandts wins!!!
Ok mines back now thank goodness
NOOOOOOOOO! Bunch sprint?
Ok im really lost now
NOOOOOOOOO! Bunch sprint?
Yup seemingly so, not sure his win will be enough for me, depends where others come
Seems monfort has won the overall
Think Reda was 2nd on the stage
Seems Boom may not have kept up
Think Peraud 2nd and Lofkvist 3rd on GC
So there was a bunch sprint? and so that means the breakway men will have been to puffed out to contest it i suppose
Jurgen Roelandts (Lotto-Belisol) wins Stage 5 of the Tour Med. Thomas Lövkvist (IAM Cycling) wins the overall
Lofkvist won the GC!!!!
Seems Monfort actually may have got lost!
Where your info Gkam84? Mines such down
Lofkvist
Peraud
Reda
Monfort
Roche
thats the top 5 on GC
Thats gonna cost me the Purist title
Twitter for my info
And the finishers on the day?
Don't know anything as yet other than Roelandts 1st and Reda 2nd
That info is also on Procyclingstats
Yeah still nothing it seems
3)Nieve
4)Malacarne
5)Mollema
Nieve 3rd on the stage I believe
Nooo not Mollema 5th
haha, I had nothing to lose, this has been the tour from hell for me!
You know what, I couldnt agree more, its been a joke if you ask me!
Well it might have been fun for you, but my scores read: 63,21,23 and probably about 20 today
Well it might have been fun for you, but my scores read: 63,21,23 and probably about 20 today
Thats part of it though, If I said that I didnt want certain events or that its been a rubbish whenever I had a bad stage or race there wouldnt be a game
Ive enjoyed this one, but I have done well and last year there was coverage and it was a decent watch
But we will see what happens in the future
haha thats not why I want to rid of the stage, this isnt the firat time the stage has been cancelled

I lost by 15 points
Sorry but there's going to be a slight delay putting the scores up tonight as I appear to be locked out of the Tour Med and can't update them
I'm looking into.
I should be looking at between 130 &140 (depending on in stage mountain points?),
much better performance

The in stage mountain position are further up in this thread. The only thing I have not seen are sprint points
However based on the overall points I think Bob Jungels won one sprint and was 2nd in the other
I don't think there was a sprint today but may be wrong. There wasn't one listed on the parcours pdf.

No there wasn't may mistake I thought Jungels had no points before today but I missed him when I looked before
Fairly average stage for me (98 points) but just enough to keep me in the top ten for the competition - and leaving me with just the three points accumulation badges to achieve! Now to try to win an actual prize...
Well that tour pretty much nailed the coffin for me, ive gone from 2nd overall, to 84th
verry good pick bij veelers wheel and akzune to take roelands
cost me my first spot but tht has got nothing to do with bad luck
next up is oman looking forward to that race

It shrunk my lead in the purist to only 25 points. But I'm still going strong in 1st place
I suggest dropping this one next year?
Nooooo, I need to defend my title
. I was unsure about going premium at the beginning of the year, but I'm really glad I did now.
Congratulations on winning the purist competition TER.

Cheers Wig, Congrats to you too, I thought I had come 2nd, having just got in, I didnt realise that the Guy who would have overtaken me had kept his normal team purist until before todays stage, and he must have made transfers last night
That info is also on Procyclingstats
TER, I love that website. Their layout and the goobs of info on it for the race and the riders is awesome! Thanks!
