Anti-social cycling crackdowns
When I heard about the Cambridge police commissioner wanting to crack down on anti-social cycling I initially questioned whether it should really be a priority but I've come round to the idea and would love to see it in London.
In London I'm often a pedestrian and if I wasn't a cyclist myself, a small minority would make me hate them. Every single day this week I've seen at least one incident (all on fixies, mostly bike couriers incidentally) from someone mounting the pavement to skip round a red light, straight into the path of an old lady, to jumping out the way of someone that thinks bikes don't need to stop or even slow down for pedestrian crossings.
If more effort went into tackling these idiots then I suspect the rest of us would receive a slightly warmer welcome on the road. Whilst bad cycling does far less harm than bad driving, it's doing nothing to improve the general attitude towards cyclists in the UK.
