Drop out repair worth it?
Hi
Carbon bike but the dropout on drive side around the aluminium needs repair.
Question is how easy is this to repair is it worth it?
Just to be clear - it is the carbon frame that's the problem rather than the metal rear mech hanger. Is that right?

If its just the mech hanger, get a new one.
If its the carbon where the mech hanger attaches.....erm, that could be a big problem
Nothing wrong with the carbon its just the alloy drop-out on drive side needs repairing.
So sounds all good to me, unless someone else say's other wise

Yep, buy a new one and replace. Easily done, they are meant to bend or break before the frame does.

perfect thank you

Seems to be some confusion here between the terms 'drop out' and 'mech hanger'
The drop out is the bit the axle slots into and is an integral part of the frame. Your description suggests an alloy dropout bonded into a carbon frame? Repairing / replacing this is a specialist job and may not be feasible or cost - effective.
The mech hanger is an alloy part bolted on to the dropout and in to which the mech mounting bolt screws. This is designed as a sacrificial component which in an incident involving the rear mech will break thus saving the frame. These are (fairly) cheap and easy to fit yourself.
Keef's right, sorry for any confusion caused.
