And I only noticed after writing the above that that price is in euros as well. so it's actually around 2600 quid.

I see they're charging more in sterling. If you go to the euro site, it's less. Boohoo!

You might want to find extra to upgrade the wheels though - Record EPS with Fulcrum Racing 5's seems a bit skewed.

If the bicycle was invented tomorrow, it would be seen as the solution, not the problem

Very true. And I have also heard that Campy is not the most reliable groupset. Think I'll stick to plan and buy my Canyon.
