WTD : Turbo Trainer
Anything considered, don't want anything fancy that'll cost me a fortune, I just looked out my turbo as I knew it was pretty much dead last time I used it, set it up.....BIN.
Today we had a thick covering of snow and the visibility was down to around 10 metres. No chance i'm going to risk myself in that, so back to a turbo i'm afraid.
So anyone got one lying about, gathering dust and want to sell it?
Must be willing to post and I'll cover the postage aswell
If nothing, I'll just go for this cheapy one
I dont know if you live near a Decathlon and its above how much you want to pay but noticed these the other day - which seem quite good value

I bought one of these: http://tinyurl.com/9nkperv
The variable resistance is subtle, but it works. Very nicely made, sturdy and quiet even though that's not a consideration for me, living far from other houses. You can also get cups (£5) to fit non q/r bikes.
The world seemed flatter years ago?
Its not above what I want to spend, just prefer a cheap one because I rarely use it. Only when its heavy snow fall, once the snow's lying I get my cross bike out and have fun slipping and sliding.
I don't live near a decathlon, but it says
"Stores that can deliver to you :
Stockport store(s) will deliver to you, click on the link to begin your shopping"
Strange considering I live in NE Scotland, I would have thought Glasgow or Edinburgh would have been easier.
I'll keep an eye on it while waiting to see if anyone has one on here. Been trying on Ebay, but only a few are for postage and they go stupidly high.
Go to e-bay - search for "Varispeed Magnetic bike trainer Turbo Trainer S02" 7 resistance settings, folding, sturdy - £53 plus £6 postage. Nice people.

I dont know if its any good to you in the NE of Scotland but i was advised to look on Triathlon forums and sure enough there were about three or four people in my area selling one. I think triathletes are richer than us cyclists and tend to upgrade stuff more often!
Just like Gkam,
I'm also looking for a reasonably priced Turbo Trainer.
Well, very cheap actually.
