Tour of Beijing Stage 3
Come on people's, who is out of bed? I've just to grab my 40 winks. Been up all night analysing the USADA documents. There are MANY interesting parts to it.
If anyone would like a copy of all the documents. Give me a shout. I now have them on DVD, just incase the site is taken down for any reason. Plus it means you can read it all offline
So back to Beijing, Who's your man for today?
I have Sanchez, Martin, Hesjedal and Nocentini in my team and hoping FDJ will stick to their promise of breaks. So Roux has stayed in my team
I've gone with the following:-
Ryder
EBH
Capecchi
HH
Marczynski
Nocentini
Howard
Geslin
Cummings
Wanted SS but messed up my transfers, so will prob have too settle for another below 50 score!
I've stuck with Roux as well... Made the transfers I planned on for today - Sammy Sanchez (he said Euskatel had targeted this stage) and Dan Martin. Have Ligthart in the break who seems to be picking up KOM points.
The BREAK is - Ladagnous, Grivko, Ligthart, Hoogerland, Nieve, Bennett, Meier. They had 4:41 with 90km to go, which I think was about 15 mins ago.
My TEAM is...
Dan Martin
Sammy Sanchez
Edvald BH
Greg Henderson for tomorrow
Roux
Ligthart
Slagter
Fenn
Guarnieri (wish I'd gone for Gavazzi from the start but never mind...)
Actually that was ages ago - its now 3:40 with 63km left...
Ligthart is your man so far - two mountains and 1 sprint to him.
Yep - "Pim's number one"!
Sorry.
Well laurel and Hardy seem to be bigging up all my riders for this stage!
Which def isn't good for me!
"Chink in the armour" from Harmon. Really?
Drinking too much Pim's - he gets most aggressive rider of the day.
NO.....Don't let EBH go away
Beauty.....What perfect timing
Tell you, they couldn't have gone any closer. EBH though he had it and slowed a touch to be caught ON THE LINE.
I was wanting Martin to get it, but he got second. EBH thrid

2,3,4,11,12,14,15
then 6 in the top 10 of GC
1,3,4,6,7,8
poor 2,3,5,11 and 12 plus whatever gc points. Not going to climb at all today.
Stumpy
1,2,3 .....not too bad . . .where did Theo Bos come? And Andrew Fenn?
2,3,5,12 13; would have liked Slagter but couldn't quite afford him. SS a bit of a disappointment, but brought in Henderson and Fenn for tomorrow.
@Gkam84 Also went to bed late yesterday as I didn't realise the time after looking through the reasoned case bit. have you looked at VeloNews or velonation, quite a few blogs on it. Still some deniers or doubters. We're getting down to philosophical scepticism now.
I'm through most of it now. All the pdf's have my computer going mad, lol
There will always be doubters and reading through it all, there is still room for the doubters. A bit like area 51, 9/11....etc
Its mainly a case of he said, she said, he saw, she saw and since Lance didn't dispute it, we've just got to go with what we've been given. So as much as I liked Lance (more for his charity work than cycling) I have to say, its pretty clear that he was doping. To what level and how much will never be known, but he was using substances.
