All sorted - bought a BB Italian GXP Sram
Fits and works like a dream
even if your rival chainset comes with a bb, it'll be english thread and not italian.
you'll need to buy another with an italian thread.
Yea spot on Italian size diameter is i think73mm english68mm and campag is not conpatable
Hi,
Your Campag BB will probably be superfluous (it's not compatible with the SRAM chainset in any case).
The SRAM Rival chainset should come with its own BB (GXP). It should fit your frame no problem. Same tool required to fit it as the Campag one I believe (a large flat spanner with internally splined teeth).
I've got a SRAM Rival compact chainset on the commuter and it's absolutely fine. Some play in the bearings but otherwise all good!
