I had another team lined up that had Gilbert and J-Rod, but it seems far from the races claims. They are not riding
The riders entered for the 98th Gran Piemonte include: Philippe Gilbert, Christopher Froome,
Joaquin Rodriguez, Samuel Sanchez, 2011 winner Daniel Moreno, Italian national champion
Franco Pellizotti, Diego Ulissi, Alessandro Ballan and Daniele Bennati.
The first three rider's aint going to be in the race
I guess its becasuse they were when the race wrote that promotional piece of the race, and have since dropped out.
Gilbert dropped out on Monday or Tuesday
Picked the first 9 riders that will be wearing the number 1....

Luca Paolini
Picked the first 9 riders that will be wearing the number 1....
Correct. Its as good a strategy as any for a forum game
No-one with the winner today then. Uran. Why didn't I stick to my Gilbert/J-Rod team. I had Paolini and Verdugo in it

4 22 Sergio Luis Henao Montoya
5 20 Carlos Alberto Betancur Gomez

20 1 Francesco Failli
I had 2,7,8,13 for 68 points (I think...)
5,13,38,45,87,102 and 3 non finishers
If I'd gone with my Gilbert team I would have had there
2,3,5,9,11,17,15 + Gilbert and J-Rod who weren't racing
But I had to change my mind instead of just swapping them out
Dont forget
Danny Pate - 10pts for last home
2,3,5,9,11,17,15 + Gilbert and J-Rod who weren't racing![]()
You would have beat the crap out of everyone with that team!
I think that would have been more than 97 points!
107 pts it would have been. Better than my 28
57 for me, i think !
30 for Paolini and 22 for Henao + 5 for Uran winning.
not bad for only 2 riders scoring.
Stumpy
I make it Obutterwick won with 76 points followed by enrique with 68 then me with 66
A very quick calculation tells me I got 20, 14, 12 and 1 for Betancur, GVA, Visconti and Failli, total 47. Could've sworn I picked Henao too, but in a mildly drunken haze I must've gone for Sammy instead at the last minute. Oops...
Apologies, I've not got round to any calculating. Assume it's an unwritten rule that if you start an unofficial comp thread, you do the maths. Teams all picked for tomorrow. Mine's done, as at the Cycle Show all day.

I normally do the maths, i just haven't had time this week. I wrote above who id worked out to be the top 3 (although i could have been incorrect)
