Front brake issue?

Hi, Ive got a Bianchi Via Nirone 7 2011. The front brake, snapped while I was out today, it sheared the bolt that connects the calipers. I have been to Evans - 'Run by cyclists for cyclists' I do not agree with that. They assured me they were selling me a FRONT RALEIGH BRAKE but they couldnt fit it. I took it to Harry Halls and was advised it was a rear brake, now looking at the the Raleigh rear and 105 front I cant spot any difference? Is there any?

cheers

These are a 105 front and back.

Most road brakes look the same from behind. The difference between front and rear is normally the length of the nut. Front is longer because it needs to go through the forks on most bikes. 3
