USPCC Stage 4: Aspen to Beaver Creek

Potentially a bit of a fun stage. Once back up Independence Pass to tire everyone out, then a lot of downhill before a couple of little climbs in the 2nd half and the final ramp up to Beaver Creek (4km at 7% avg).

Will Garmin have a big presence in the break with CVDV in yellow? Answer: probably yes, because they don't really seem to give a crap about saving legs in this event and they're just going to try to do everything.

Will Leipheimer or Horner do something on the final climb?
Answer: Probably not. They'll wait for stage 6, and also not take enough time to scare TJVG for the TT.

Would this race be more exciting WITHOUT a final day TT?
Answer: Absolutely. And yes, I know that's strange.

Anyway, since I'm in 2nd overall (insert blind squirrel joke here), I better take this a little seriously today. Here's the team:

Danielson
van Garderen
Leipheimer
Horner

Vande velde
Rovny (for Tschopp)
Dombrowski
Caruso
Euser

Who you got?

Traveling today so will miss the stage. Still in 2nd with 184 yesterday!

Made the following transfers for today:

Farrar (for Horner)
Castiblanco (for Vande velde)
Bazzana (for Euser)

Figured it was time to take a chance and win this thing 1
... or lose miserably.

Yeah, I wish I didn't have Rincon though. I brought him in for Voigt yesterday. 20

That will probably be the key to stage 5.....anyone willing to sacrifice a sure scoring Garmin for Farrar?

Tyler has a pretty decent TT in him you know(hard to crash into anyone with 2 minute road gaps anyway!!)

So Voigt wins, someone else from RSNT took second then TVG about 3 places ahead of CVV, god only knows who's going to be in what jersey.

This has been the worst EVER race i've seen in terms of television pictures. Even worse than last year, you would have though lessons would have been learnt 2

He got every climb and sprint today plus the win. Big scores if you have him, Giff77 3

Right, no changes for me due to the fact that I keep forgetting that I need to be doing t/f's due to stuffing my face and watching veulta highlights. Two nights running now. Hopefully this inattentiveness will gain me some points as doing t/f's defo don't!! Here's hoping
Vicenzo Nibali (LIQ)
Tejay van Garderen (BMC)
Levi Leipheimer (OPQ)
Janez Brajkovic (AST)
Taylor Phinney (BMC)
Jens Voigt (RSN)
Freddie Rodriguez
Peter Stetina (GRM)
Chris Jones (UHC)
