I won't be paying much attention to this race, so it's a purist team for me.

I don't really know what to expect, so I've gone mainly sprinty for today, primarily from teams that should do OK in the TTT, and then have 4 transfers for stage 3 once I've seen who's in form.

Blythe has good form from Paris-Correze and BMC should do well in the TTT so not a bad pick at all.

Cool, thats good news about Paris-Correze, I hadn't noticed that. Yes it was with half an eye on the TTT, nearly went for a second BMC rider too but copped out in the end.

I got 1,4,5 and 7th out of those but many people coming across the line holing various body parts, expect at least 10 people to not be riding tomorrow from the start list today

1, 3, and 4 for me based on the official top 10 that I've seen. Normally I'd say that's pretty good but it looks like everyone else had the same ideas as me (or better) so I don't know how I'm going to pull ahead in the purist league.

VERY confusing and I think its going to cause BIG problems with scoring, as they have the overall, but including the time bonuses. So everyone is out of position.

The finish line position is not listed Thinking

Hi guys - don't know if I'm the first to point out that the scores don't seem quite right unless I'm missing something?

EG Haussler 14? (gets at least 22 for coming 4th)
Blythe 11, Kristoff 4. Haven't checked any others so may be more...

Don't use the official site Dave, as they are not listing it as they cross the line, they are only listing the GC thats including the time bonuses. The link above is spot on. I'll paste it again for you

Kruopis got 29 points in the game and should only have 7
Ventoso got 26 in game and should only have 6 Devil

Actually i make it kruopis should get 15 (7 GC, 1st in a sprint, 3rd in a sprint) and ventoso 12 (6 GC , 1st in a sprint)

Sprints don't count in this tour Teratcliffe

This stage will be scored on the following criteria:
Finish line - multi-day tour: Points awarded for the first 20 riders over the line in a multi-stage race.

The following points will be awarded (1st-20th): 35, 30, 25, 22, 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1

GC (Tour): Points awarded for a top ten position in the GC of a Tour at the end of a stage. 10 points for first down to 1 point for 10th

Points competition (Tour): Points awarded for overall standing in the points competition at the end of a stage. 5 points for first position down to 1 point for 5th

Young rider competition (Tour): Points awarded for overall standing in the young rider competition at the end of a stage. 5 points for first position down to 1 point for 5th

Last man home: 10 points awarded for the last man home on a tour stage or one-day race

Team bonus: 5 points to every participating rider in the winning rider's team

Also APPOLLONIO was scored 3 for 18th but he's 18th GC he was 12th for the stage which would be 9 points! Nerd

right, so i got a bit confused here Smile

there's no young riders classification. there is a primus jersey which i've awarded points for, on a 5-down-to-1 basis, Urtasun leads. I'd assumed without really looking at the riders that it was the young rider jersey. but urtasun's no spring chicken, is he?

so, what exactly is it? and shall we award points for it?

also, there wasn't any mention of the intermediate sprints in the stuff i found on the race (patchy at best) so i left them out.

Primus appears to be combativity NOT young riders(Millar's 6th on Primus!!).

click on general clasification and award 5-1 for all 25 and under?

It was specified on the scoring criteria and was therefore a huge factor in selection even if there is no jersey.

Hardly a factor in selection. With only a max of 5 points, There is no way thats how most people picked there team as almost 1/3 of the field are under 25 if I've looked at it right Devil

No scores for young and the combative (Primus) Shouldn't be scored either, as thats normally just 10 points to one person. Which, without the intermediates, we cant work out who wins what.

Lets just have, GC, Points and Finishing positions

Yeah 105 over all, but the chances of you having the top 5 young riders for 7 stages is about the same as winning the Euromillions Devil
