Help with Tubulars (Cleanup)

Heh all..

So got my Tubs on my spangly new tubulars (and GODDAMN FINE they look too) ..

I used Tub Tape and it's done a good job but there is some of the adhesive visible on one of the sidewalls, to the extent where it looks really ugly and mos def needs a cleanup (they're black sidewalls).

I've read that you can use Lighter Fluid to remove the excess but I dont have any here ... I do have plenty of White Spirit and am wondering whether this is advisable??

The Brake tracks on the wheels are spotless, just the tyre sidewall that needs attention.

WHAT SAY YOU?

Any advice?

Cheers!!!

I used Acetone in the end and they've come up real nice..

I think I'd be reticent in using a hairdryer on these due to the braking surface.

Cannae fault the tub tape, it seems to be great stuff.

I'm just about to start using tub tape after always using glue. The best way to get the glue off the rims is to heat it with a hairdrier, not sure if it's the same with tape but it sort of makes sense in my mind.

I'd be interested to hear how you get on!
