Cassette too big for freehub body?!

I've just finished building a new bike up and have come across a major problem.

The cassette lockring is sitting slightly too proud of the freehub body on the wheel which means that when the wheel is in the frame the lockring rubs against the frame and the wheel won't turn. Not a problem on other frames using the same wheel

I have used the wheel before on another frame and have just transfered everything off one frame and on to the other I'm at a bit of a loss as to what I can do - any ideas

Is it by any chance a relatively old frame? The rear axle spacing may be 126mm rather than the normal 130mm...

Replace the axel body for a longer one as it sounds like your axel body spacers are now inside the cassette body or that they've fallen off
