Indeed. Swift 6th in Omnium tonight.

Tiernan-Locke 3rd 10'' back, (just won Tour of the Med). Russell Downing 10th. Voeckler 5th I think. He won it last year. Be interesting to see it tomorrow. Available on the Internet on france3cotedazur.fr from 2-4 our time tomorrow.

Anyone who hasn't seen Jonathan Tiernan-Locke's win in Tour de Haut Var should watch this video

http://www.cyclingfans.com/node/3915

It is quite long but you can skip to about 1hr 35 and watch the last 2 climbs. He just cruises up the 2nd to last climb whilst everyone else seems to struggle and then comes from nowhere to win on the final climb.

Very impressive and with my limited French it seems the commentators like him too.

I think he also mentioned something in the interview about having talked to a world tour team during the last week, so maybe we'll be able to choose him for Fantasy Cycling.

What did I say about looking no further than the second British Superteam (Endura) for upcoming talent?

Oh yeah, That

Agreed. I hadn't even used Twitter for about 2 years but now I've got him and a few other cycling things on there. Didn't follow Oman today though, so what happened to Greipel? Did he crash, puncture or not try?

Just picking out some names and keeping them to more well known ones from last years game for those who might not follow cycling, just to show you who he beat

Fredrik Kessiakoff
Christophe Le Mevel
Philippe Gilbert
Cameron Meyer
Jose Joaquin Rojas Gil
Pablo Lastras Garcia
Thomas Voeckler

Thats upto 41st place, all TOP names and decent climbers in their own right, some more than others and i know its only early season, so some wont be on top form, but JTL looks like a great star for the future, I know he's 27, but thats not past it by any stage.

I'm surprised he hasn't been involved with Sky before now, I know its doubtful, BUT could he be selected for the Olympics? As he's only with a Continental, but could be another guy to drag Cav up Box Hill

If he does get into a World tour team, and I don't know the rules about transfers in cycling so don't know how this works, then maybe if there are injuries to other people.

Not sure how hard some of those other riders were trying but it was a final climb that would have suited J-Rod, Cobo or Froome.

Although my French is not the greatest, I get the same impression. Quite a performance. Watched it on DailyMotion.

From 1:50 gives the final climb where the select peloton caught Julien Simon, and then JTL went, "comme une bombe." Best performance I've seen this season!
