Mark Cavendish (SKY) Obvious aint it?
Mark Renshaw (RAB) Can push Cav all the way
Tom Boonen (OPQ) Figured in most stages last year
Denis Galimzyanov (KAT) Did well last year in the top 10 on 4/5 stages
Nikolas Maes (OPQ) Best young rider last year
Roger Kluge (1T4) 9th in the points and top 10 3/5
William Clarke (CHA) Break away's
Gabriel Rasch (FDJ) 7th last year, hoping for better
Dominique Rollin (FDJ) 3/5 stages top 10 and 8th in points last year

Peter Sagan (LIQ) Value: 34.6 Because he is Peter Sagan
Tom Boonen (OPQ) Value: 27.8 Winner here 2006, 2007, 2009, won last stage Tour de San Luis this week
John Degenkolb (1T4) Value: 25.4 Young up and coming sprinter, peaked at end of year expect more as 1T4 look for invites.
Denis Galimzyanov (KAT) PC Value: 20.0 Seriously undervalued sprinter, his performance last year in Tdf ranked him as one best sprinter in the pro peleton. No Griepel, sick Cav, so expecting wins for the big Russian.

Francesco Chicchi (OPQ) Value: 10.2 good form here last year + Tour de San Luis (2 wins)
Andrea Guardini (FAR) Value: 2.7 good form here last year + Tour de San Luis
Mehdi Sohrabi (LOT) DS Value: 2.6 15 race wins last year (all pro-conti), no Griepel in Qatar, if Hendersen leads him out best 2.6 points every spent.
Aaron Kemps (CHA) Value: 3.3 Ex Astana sprinter spent last 2 years winning on US pro-conti level.
Dominique Rollin (FDJ) Value: 6.3 3 top 10 finishes here last year

I don't have a TTT strategy just swap in a couple on cheap RSN or GRM riders for Guardini and Kemps

I did not pick Cav, because he is sick.

Hushovd: Because even if he dosn't win, one of his other team leaders might. Also because he'll be in top 5 after TTT.
Degenkolb: Because he was strong early season last year.
Sagan: Because as nickobec says he's Peter Sagan.
Boonen: Historically good at Qatar, hope Chichi isn't leader.
Phinney: Because if Hushovd isn't leader he might be. Also because he'll be in top 5 after TTT.
Guardini: Because he's the next Italian sprint sensation.
Kluge: Because he's Degenkolb's final leadout/ 2nd sprinter.
Rasch: Because seabass89 gave me a hot tip.
Bauer: Because he's a strong guy and Farrar might win. Also he might be in the top 10 after TTT. Not to mention saving the world in 24 hours.

Mark Cavendish (SKY) PC Value: 40.0
Tyler Farrar (GRM) PC Value: 37.7
Thor Hushovd (BMC)AR Value: 35.0
Robert Wagner (RSN)PC Value: 10.1

Domestiques
Roger Kluge (1T4) DS Value: 3.1
Frederik Willems (LOT)DS Value: 3.3
Taylor Phinney (BMC) DS Value: 11.7
Jacob Rathe (GRM) DS Value: 2.7
Christian Knees (SKY) DS Value: 6.4

this is who i have gone with, Was unsure on cav last night then missed the deadline this morning to change so hopefully all will work out for him today. Will most likely keep the same team for tomorrows TTT went for two sky, garmin and bmc riders and one garmin, i have a feeling that they will be the top 4 time trial teams tomorrow. and will take it from there

He might be if BMC win the TTT, but 2010 doesn't bode well, it must be said, or if he wins today and BMC finish less than the time bonuses for today behind the winners(Sky)

If we're naming names

Davide Appollonio SKY
Mark Renshaw RAB
Robbie Mcewen GRE
Gregory Henderson LOT

Adam Hansen LOT
Francesco Chicchi OPQ
Martin Kohler BMC
Fumiyuki Beppu GRE
Michael Barry SKY

not sure why tho...

Squiggle, you know its a TTT TEAM time trail, so I highly doubt Hushovd, Phinney and Bauer all being in the top 10

I said Bauer "might" be in the top 10 after the TTT. I'd expect him to be 2nd or 3rd Garmin rider over the line today so if Garmin win the TTT then he'll be top 10. To be honest I only put him in because I could afford him and thought that Farrar might win today and I wanted the bonus points. Obviously my dream scenario regarding these riders is if BMC win (and on a short, technical, course with a powerfully stacked team including Gilbert, Hushovd, and Phinney I think they have a good shot). I also reckon Garmin, Sky, BMC, and RNT will fight out the TTT between them. Of course then there is always finish bonus seconds to consider which I haven't! hmmm.

You are lucky - since I live in Aberystwyth, and due to the addition of a 'mid wales' league - I have moved over today and so you should be top. Call it a little xmas present from me.

Interesting - Eurosport had Sagan in 5th.

Maybe best to wait for the official results...

Hopefully they got the Blythe result wrong too (sorry Adam, I know that's a brilliant result but hey I'd rather have 30 points, I'll pick you next time!)

Teratcliffe26 - you were right, Oss was 5th, (Sagan was 3rd), and Appollinio was 8th as you suggest. I will still take that to be honest.
