I seem to struggle to find bibtights/shorts long enough between the shoulder and crotch.Any ideas?

Try Prendas Ciclismo they do plenty of large size stuff - I am 6ft 5ins and was about 250lbs when I first bought from them and never had any trouble. They do Santini stuff up to 6XL.
