February Races

by nigsbrown on January 22, 2012 - 14:31

Are the tours of Qatar and Oman or the Vuelta a Andalucia going to be included in the fantasy season? Other races in Feb which would be good to include would be the Volta ao Algarve and the Giro di Sardegna but these clash with the tour of Oman and the Vuelta a Andalucia.
It seems a shame to have a month completely race free and after a fairly good start in the TDU, I don't want to have to wait until Paris-Nice to get my team racing again again.

yes - what a huge gap to Paris-Nice - please Road CC - help us out with at least Oatar and Oman

Why don't we just practice and see how we would have done. You get all the results on the Internet anyway.

I have to admit it seems sensible to have at least a couple of races, no matter how short, included for February, but i will leave that upto the powers that be. Thinking

At the end of last season peer pressure caused the powers that be to add a race on at the end so i imagine the system is already in place to add or remove races.

Mind you i know as much about computers as Andy Carroll knows about putting a ball in the net this season. Devil

See I think all world tour races should be added unless there is a crossover. So tour de Romandie, Eneco Tour and Tour of Bejing could all be added in my opinion

But its all up to Dave, he does a great job at running this game as it is, i just like the day to day, so miss it when there are big gaps in the schedule

tour of qatar/tour of oman aren't beyond the realms of possibility since they're ASO and we can be fairly sure the results will be up quickly and accurately. i'll need to look into it a bit though.

These appear to be more realistic than the week long tours especially if there is concerns over the accuracy of the results and timing. Thinking

Thanks Dave & Co for including the Tours of Qatar and Oman. Now I will have to go study them.

+1 to include Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and/or Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne to fill in the gap at end of February. Only problem is they are on following days, so only small window to swap riders out (good chance to test the automate roster changer thing, if you have built it). It will get the fantasy players looking at some of the smaller 1 day classics.

Where there are 3 jersey's

Gold - General individual classification
Silver - General points classification
White - Best young rider classification

So there are your jersey points sorted out

The normal GC and Stage points?

There are 9 sprints up for grabs
Also 5 finish sprints (not that they could in the game)

There is the TTT on Stage 2, so i guess thats going to be the normal TTT set up, unless your going to discount dropped riders Wink Wink
