How can I tell if it's a 105 or an Ultegra cassette?

I have a 9 speed shimano cassette that I am trying to identify.
I have been told it's Ultegra but I suspect it is 105...

How can I tell the difference?
In fact what is the difference between 105 and ultegra?

I do not have the original lock ring so I cannot check the serial number, as that is on the ring and not on the cassette itself.

Thanks,
P

the main difference btw is simply weight. the tooth profiles and stuff are the same.

from memory the ultegra 9spd cassettes have an alloy carrier for the biggest two sprockets to save weight, whereas on the 105 block they're all made from steel. so if you look at the back of the big sprocket and it's riveted to an alloy body, then it's ultegra (or above). i think.
