Which rollers for winter training?

Well i've decided to go for a set of rollers rather than turbo to keep me ticking over indoors over winter, but i am unsure of which to get.

Obvious choices are tacx or minoura does any one use any of these? if so which model?

any feedback on your roller experiences appreciated

ta!

Minoura do these classics for £179.99 and they're foldable: http://www.zyro.co.uk/Product-Category/TRAINERS/Trainers%20and%20Rollers...

And Tacx do this - also foldable, well, shrinkable - Antares model which has a sleeker appearance for the same £179.99 but I couldn't swear that the the bearings will be better or worse and spares are equally easily available when the time comes: http://www.fisheroutdoor.co.uk//product.asp?category=920&part%5Fno=T1000...

The Kreitlers mentioned above ARE brilliant but obviously more expensive.

Don't forget that Elite also make nice rollers; their Arion model is £199.99. http://www.madison.co.uk/productinfo.aspx?vertical=Cycling&tier1=Accesso...

I can only personally vouch for the Minouras as I have had a set for years but I know plenty of happy Tacx owners and these Elites seemed noticeably quieter in a different environment to where I use my Minouras

If you fancy something other than tacx / minoura, I just bought a set of these: http://www.kreitler.co.uk/45rollers.asp

They're not cheap but they are beautifully made and run like a dream.

Good luck on your search
