Herald Scotland - Alan Taylor want cyclists to pay more

http://www.heraldscotland.com/comment/alan-taylor/let-s-make-cyclists-pa... Alan Taylor is having a rant about making cyclists contribute to the roads in an outdated moot point, there is a comments section so well worth adding your replies. I have started the ball rolling...

The letters page should be interesting over the next few days. The usual mutterings about lycra clad, red light jumping, pedestrian weaving, "road tax" dodging, un-licenced louts and how dare they delay the motorist by a fraction of a second 20

Meanwhile, there have been really good interviews with David Millar and Graeme Obree over the last few days in the Herald.

No logic either, Scotland isn't suited to cycling… and yet "they're numbers are growing" to paraphrase. Just another paid by the yard controversialist
