Biking route guides of england??

Hi just wondering if any one could recommend any good route guide books for roadd biking in England that dont take me on super busy roads.

not strictly books but 'OS landranger' maps are pretty good...  4 (just avoid the red, green and blue roads as much as you can and stick to the orange and yellow. simple)

didnt think about mapmyride - i use it myself.

my plan is to get some long weekends planned for next year and base them around rides across england but Il def look in to the 100 climbs.

planning on doing the alpes in a couple of years when iv finished my degree

If you are really into pain you could try '100 Climbs', not technically a route guide but you could build one round each climb.

I also use mapmyride.com as you can search for rides in specific areas or map your own rides for others to use.
