Teams get what they have now, There was talk about it going back to the 175 credits for the TdF but nothing else

We will be resetting values before the TdF, to give everyone an equal crack at the top prize. But for now, make hay! or, curse your bad selections.

Is there a way you can put the "left over" from the 175 aside for World Tour events that are between TdF and Vuelta and at the end of it?

Yes it gives everyone a level playing field, but i think it sucks for the people, like myself who spend time looking at start lists and studying form

if you're going to the trouble of doing that then i don't see how you're ever going to be at a disadvantage...

The disadvantage is if you have built up a fair amount of credits and the riders on previous and form that will do well are all quite expensive and thus you cannot have everyone in your team you would wish to have.

Although im guessing you will reset the rider values too??

I will be over players who may have dropped off in team values, because i'll lose 25 credits, so i than might not be able to build the team i want

yes, but you'll be in a position to pick the best available team for your 175 credits, having done your homework. And they'll be picking any old chancer. So the advantage is still yours

the rider values will be put back to base value too. so the position's the same as it was at the start. as for not being able to pick everyone you want, that's kind of the point of the budget isn't it?

I'll lose 54.5 credits.
Seems fair to reset for the start of each grand tour to me. Otherwise I'm at a massive advantage to a new player.

This is why we should have stuck with the old system of values staying the same.....like when I won the Tour de France comp last year. Much better that way....he he.

Didn't you reset the credits during the Giro? I thought there was a prize for the highest team value by the end of the season. I can however understand you not wanting to disadvantage the undoubtably large number of TDF only players, however many of us have agonised over 28 stages so far, anybody joining for the TDF and playing out the season could win the team score prize, even if they have no chance of the season long.

I appreciate all the effort going into running the comp and introducing some innovation but IMHO it seems you've ended with neither fish nor fowl.

I think it's great to have the fluctuation. But if you're going to allow the values to change then why not have a season-long comp where people get to ride the markets and are rewarded for picking the non-favourites who have a good season.
You could make them vary even more in that event based on points scored as well as popularity e.g. Pineau was clearly riding the Giro just to turn the pedals yet he remained one of the most expensive riders in his category which just didn't make sense.

And then have a separate TDF-only competition for the people who just want to do that, with rider values at a fixed level.

Otherwise just leave it fixed all season or have separate comps not a season-long competition.
