East Anglia Tourride 2011
Anybody out there signed up, I have.
What is the route like - Gearing?
I'd like to but haven't done a tour ride before. Any tips?
I've not ridden that far either! just gonna do it. I have done 100 miles, it can't be any worse than that really. Just pace yourself & remember to eat & drink enough.
Some distance work is obviously required to get used to being in the saddle for over 6 hours!
There's not too much by way of hills to be scared of but quite a lot of it is rolling terrain, which can be pretty sapping, especially if there's a headwind. important to keep hydrated and take on food every half an hour or so to top yourself up, good idea to team up with a few riders setting a similar pace to take turns on the front, it makes a real difference. making sure you're completely comfortable with your position on the bike is as important as anything, but if you can complete 100 miles the extra 25 or so should be doable...
