Patrick Gretsch has only been awarded 5 points for being last on GC rather than the 10 stated on the stage information.

Lanterne Rouge (Tour): 10 points awarded for last place in the GC at the end of a stage
Patrick GRETSCH HTC - High Road 5

I did think 10 was excessive especially later in the race when it becomes more ovious who will be last.

Which is correct?
