Cycling to granny's

Dave Atkinson, October 28, 2010

This is one of my major goals for next year: cycling from Bath to my parents' house in Suffolk. Should be about 200 miles i reckon, so a challenging ride, never ridden that far before. Probably going to do it overnight too rather than trying (and failing) to do it in a day.

anyway i know the bit in south suffolk and i'm good as far as swindon but in between there's a huge swathe of the country that'll be completely new to me. i've knocked up what i think is a sensible looking route (attached) but if you live in that bit and you've got suggestions, i'd love to hear them!

LOL I've always wanted to cycle to parents in Stamford (Lincs) from my place in Bristol.

190-ish miles and in one day.

Go for it Dave, would be a good article in the prep, duration and after thoughts.

I like my bike but it needs a hidden 25cc motor Smile
