Pain in little toe

On long rides I tend to find that I get a numb little toe, how can I cure this?
Using road spd and shimano carbon soled shoes. There is a metatarsal pad I can add to the insole but I'm not sure.

OP which shoes are you using btw? They could be too narrow or cleats too far forward. Also shimano shoes are narrow and wide foot'ers need the E size for wide feet.

I knew a lady with short feet but very wide and had to order in her special shoes for sport or dinner dates.

Don't stretch cold/un-warmed up muscle

Good warmup (EDIT cheers Monkey!) & stretch before riding, check space in shoe as they can come up short -especially shimano. e.g. I use 12.5 but buy 13 on the road or mtb shoes 48.

Check bike position - too low or high and check for tight muscles or nerves. Get out of the saddle?

Or just try another pair of shoes.

Failing that:

But ask a grown up first as scissors can be dangerous 19
