What do people think of the route and where are people going to watch it?
The Alps is the focus, but Pyrenees looks a good bet too as you could watch a couple of stages on consecutive days from one base.
where are people going to watch it?
on TV/computer for me i suspect, but if i was able to get out there stages 18/19 on the Col du Galibier would be my choice.
I'd quite like to see the start. Always wanted to go the ill de Normoutier and I'd fancy going to the Pyrenees too
Id like to see the galibier stages and also the start with the ttt soon after.
could ride up galibier on thursday and alpe d'huez friday, then watch tt on saturday and then home on sunday to watch itv4 highlights on sunday ...
i rode down to the alps last year to see the morzine finish and start ... took 5 1/2 days from Le Havre - with 2 hours in a bar each pm watching the stage finishes - fab.
you could watch it in brittany by bike too
That certainly sounds like the perfect way to catch the Tour
It looks like a proper tough route probably watching it at home unless 'Look Mum No Hands'open a branch in Blackpool.
Some great stages for the Grimpeurs.
