Building a bike frame from scratch
Hi folks, just wondering if any of you know of any courses you can do in frame building ? In the Northern Ireland area but I'd be willing to travel... Thanks, j

I did mine at Enigma cycles on the south coast ...lots of bike porn in their workshop too
I don't know of any in NI. Local-ish to me is The Bicycle Academy in Frome, their courses are between £2-3k (including materials).
It's not too hard to hop on a plane over to Bristol then get the train to Frome...

These guys were at Bespoked the other week and looked pretty good.
I recently built my own frame at Reilly Cycleworks. The course was great fun and you get a great sense of achievement from having built your very own frame from scratch. I've now got a Columbus Spirit tubed road bike which I'll hopefully be building up this weekend (just sorting out painting it up). It is a pretty full on hard grafting for 5 days, so be prepared for that :). Any questions then just shout.
I don't know of any but suggest ringing around some of the better known frame builders to ask if they know or may indeed consider it for themselves. There's a few in England ranging from £300 to £1400.
